The tour starts in an area called Bo-Kaap which is the malay quarter and is rich in history. Here we will walk through the beautiful bright coloured homes and areas where they still have cobbled streets. The tour proceeds to District Six where the forced removal of people took place during the apartheid era. The story of how people lived in unity and how it affected families will be heard. Then we will visit the District Six museum to view photos and other memorabilia. We will then visit one of the oldest Black settlements in Cape Town namely Langa where we will do a guided walking tour and to be told about the history of the area as well as life in the township as it is today. We could arrange a lunch in this area or similar to taste the local cuisine.
